The club is situated in the middle of the small village of Laurelvale in Co Armagh, Northern Ireland between Portadown and Tandragee. The ground is one of the best in the Northern Cricket Union (NCU) with a fast flat outfield and sheltered setting.

The pitches were relaid a number of years ago and offer good deal of bounce and pace by Northern Ireland standards providing a fair contest between bat and ball.

The first team currently play in Section 2 of the NCU league finishing mid-table last season. Our aim however is to attain promotion to the Premier Division as soon as possible.

The second eleven play in Division 2 Section 2 and the Third Eleven play in Division 3 Section 5 of the NCU leagues. The thirds narrowly missed out on promotion last season while the seconds finished in mid table of their league.

The club also has a thriving youth section and enters teams in the NCU Colts Cup (u17), u15 and u13 league and cups.

History 1875-1975

Laurelvale Cricket Club produced an excellent Centenary Brochure in 1975 which contains a detailed written and pictorial history of the clubs first 100 years. Some of this material has been reproduced here to give a flavour of the clubs wonderful past.

Laurelvale began as a textile factory club, in common with a number of clubs in the area, in 1875 when the Sinton family from the factory fostered and encouraged the development of cricket in the area. Eventually a group of voluntary workers took over the running of the club with the continuing support of the local community. Over the years club has continued to make progress with the facilities being extended and upgraded. Click here for more history ......
